The embellished boat (Hamsa Vahanam) has been kept ready for the festival. Meanwhile, the Vykunta Dwaram celebrations, which are also known as Uttara Dwara Darshanam, will be held on December 29, the temple Executive Officer K Prabhakar Srinivas said.

A large number of devotees from adjoining regions will throng Bhadrachalam to witness the colourful event. In this regard, separate queue lines have been arranged for the darshan of Lord Rama at the temple and two-lakh laddus would be sold through various counters set up on the temple premises, he informed.

Tickets in denominations of Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 for the Uttara Dwara Darshanam of the deity have been sold online and through the counter at the Bhadradri temple, the EO added. As part of Mukkoti Ekadasi celebrations, Lord Rama was attired in the form of Lord Krishna on Wednesday.

A large number of devotees performed special pujas in the temple. Later, the deities were taken to the Mithila Stadium to enable devotees have a darshan. Later, women performed Kolatam and priests performed Tiruveedhi Seva.
