Suryapet: CPM State council member and former Miryalaguda MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy demanded the State government to extend financial aid of Rs 8,000 per acre per year to tenant famers also.

Addressing the media persons at the party district office in Suryapet on Tuesday, Julakanti questioned the government for favouring farmers having more than 100 acres over financially poor tenant farmers in the said scheme, which is designed to provide relief to farming community in the State.

Stating that the government has failed to control the sale of spurious seeds, the Left leader informed that farmers, who sold their red gram at government purchasing centres ae month ago, were yet to receive payments.

He demanded the government to take drought prevention measures and provide compensation to farmers whose crops were damaged due to recent untimely rains and dried up borewells.

“Education standards in the State are falling year by year,” he said, blaming the State government over recent SSC English question paper leak and previous EAMCET question papers leak.

Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s proposed Third Front a stunt to divert the attention of people of the State over his failures, Julakanti questioned the Chief Minister as to why the TRS party was not supporting the opposition parties in moving no-confidence motion against BJP in the Parliament.

To provide a fair and transparent government, the CPM along with like-minded parties established Bahujana Left Front, he said, urging people to support and vote for BLF in coming elections.

Left party leaders Mulkalapally Ramulu, Mallu Laxmi, Nagarjun Reddy, Nemmadi Venkateshwarlu and others took part in the programme.
