One of the arrested was identified as Komunaboina Seetha Ramulu alais Seetha alias Imran.

He was an auto-rickshaw driver by profession. He is native of Kallur in Khammam district. But he used to reside at Ambattur in Chennai. Another accused Shiek Ismail is the native of Dosa Pahad under Penpahad mandal in Suryapet district. He too used to reside in Chennai, the police said.

Producing the accused before the media, Nalgonda two town Circle Inspector Bhasha said the duo used to identify the locked houses and burgled them by breaking open the locks or by entering through ventilators.

Following the complaint of burglary in a house at Kastala village under Chandur mandal on January 23, the police basing on the fingerprint evidence, concluded that old offender Komunaboina Seetha Ramulu was the culprit.

Both CCS police and local Chandur police in a joint operation apprehended the offenders at bus station while they were moving under suspicious circumstances, the CI said.

During the interrogation, the police claimed that the accused had confessed to have committed thefts in Suryapet and Mahabubabad districts.

Police recovered Rs 6.50 worth of 22 tulas of gold ornaments and 32 tulas of silver articles from the possession, the CI said.
