Mahbubnagar: With the successful completion of Mission Bhagiratha works in record time in Jadcherla mandal in Mahbubnagar district, Health minister C Laxma Reddy released drinking water to 360 villages under Jadcherla constituency on Thursday.

Earlier last month, the Health Minister successfully launched the trial run of the Mission Bhagiratha project at Ranganayaka Gutta in Jadcherla.
After ensuring that foolproof drinking water system was put in place, Laxma Reddy released water to the villages.

The project was the long-cherished dream of the people in Jadcherla constituency. The Minister expressed satisfaction at the pace of the work executed. "It is a dream come true. It really gives utmost satisfaction to me that our government has delivered what it has promised.

With the Mission Bhagiratha project is about to be completed, I am sure each and every individual household will be provided with pure drinking tap water by the end of August this year," the Minister said.

The minister said Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Haritha Haaram and Mission Kakatiaya were all linked to healthcare. He said no government earlier had dared to take up such mammoth projects. It was possible to take up such projects and complete them under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Majority of diseases like kidney problems and other diseases are only because of water problems. "Completing Mission Bhagiratha on time is not a simple task. It was a challenge for the Telangana government and we could do it. Very soon each and every household will get pure drinking tap water,” he said.
