Khammam: The State government is committed to ensure all-round development of the Khammam city, said local MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar here on Friday.
The MLA along with Lok Sabha member Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy participated in the various developmental activities and laid foundation stone for the construction drains and cement roads at a cost of Rs 5 crore in 5th and 26th divisions here.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar said after decades of negligence by the previous governments, there is all-round development in the city under the leadership of the TRS government.
The government is committed to the development of downtrodden and in view of that it had introduced several welfare schemes for all sections of people for their well-being. The government was striving to fulfil the promises in a phased manner, he added.
Later, Srinivas Reddy handed over cheques for Rs 8 lakh to 28 patients who are suffering from various health problems. The money was sanctioned to patients under Chief Minister’s Relief fund.
MLC Balasani Lakshminarayana, City Mayor Papa Lal, Deputy Mayor Battula Murali Prasad Rao, former Chairman of Agriculture Committee R J C Krishna, S Venkanna, carporators K Ramadevi, P Naga Raju, A Nirusha, Anjireddy and B Yeshwanth participated in the programme.
