Vijayawada: The city police on Monday booked a case against former legislator and the YSR Congress leader, Vangaveeti Radha Krishna. The police said that the owner of a lodge from Gandhinagar in the city had complained to them against the legislator. The police said that the lodge owner alleged that the legislator had confined him in a room and threatened him. On receiving the complaint, the police registered cases against the former legislator under Sections 342 and 506 of IPC. Meanwhile, the followers of the former legislator alleged that the police have acted in haste and the case was booked at the behest of the legislator Malladi Vishnu. They refuted the charges levelled by the lodge owner against the former legislator and criticised Malladi Vishnu for fabricating cases against their leader.
