kala jatha teamKurnool: As many as 130 artistes selected from Kurnool, Kadapa, Ananthapuramu, Chittoor and Mahbubnagar districts are being trained in the two-day camp here from Wednesday jointly under the aegis of Information department and Social Media. Assistant director of Information department Srinivasula Jivan said that the artistes would form teams and perform in Rayalaseema districts and Mahbubnagar to bring awareness among people on the government schemes of Inidiramma kalalu, Amruta Hastam, Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Indira Kranti Padham, Indira Jalaprabha, Bangarutalli and others.

The artistes are being trained in various art forms like folk, modern street play, Hari katha, Burra katha, mimicry and others, he added. The artistes would be given script highlighting the government programmes to be presented in various art forms in which they were trained. District Public Relations Officer IDV Prasad Rao said that the Kala Jatha teams should visit the villages some time before the performance and get ready for presenting their art forms.

He appealed to the artistes to perform wholeheartedly to bring awareness among people about the government schemes for their benefit. Social Media representative Dayakar said that the artistes should present the programmes in such a way that it should be understandable to the illiterate villagers. Assistant director of Information deprtmetn Sukumar, APROs, AVSs of four districts, coordinators of Social Media Lakshman Kumar and Pavan and others were present.
