Hyderabad: The US security agencies on Sunday, in coordination with their Indian counterparts will be conducting the convoy rehearsals on tentative routes Ivanka Trump would be taking to reach Falaknuma Palace.
According to sources, the US president’s daughter is likely to take any of the two paths on her way to Falaknuma Palace. After taking part on the first day of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on November 28 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), she is likely to take HICC – Raidurgam – Nanalnagar – Rajendranagar – Aramgarh – Chandrayangutta – Falaknuma or HICC - Gachibowli X Road – ORR – APPA junction – Tukkuguda - Pahadishareef – Chandrayangutta – Falaknuma. The security cover on the both route will be the same, which would be coordinated by both US and India agencies. However, the precise direction the convoy will take would be known to the security agencies only 10 minutes prior to her departure from HICC.
The convoy consists of three American vehicles which can survive any attack including landmine and one of which consists of a rocket launcher for intercepting any air attack. The Foreign agency which already took note of the risky spots, has advised the Indian agencies to ensure security cover with well-matched weaponry system, some of which would be supplied by them. The Indian security would be provided with high-end binoculars and arms by the US security agency to ensure security on these points.
A meeting was recently held between the FBI and Indian agencies at National Police Academy in this regard. Till now, 16 FBI officials have arrived in the city and remaining 34 are likely to arrive on Sunday. The special vehicles which are part of the convoy will be linked to Pentagon through GPRS and Satellite and signals would be sent and received between them during Ivanka’s journey.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary, S P Singh along with other higher officials including DGP M Mahender Reddy, Intelligence IG Naveen Chand, Additional DG Anjani Kumar, IT secretary, Jayesh Ranjan, GHMC Commissioner, B Janardhan Reddy, Municipal Commissioner, Naveen Mittal, Hyderabad District Collector Yogita Rana and other officials on Saturday visited Golconda and Falaknuma palace for ensuring preparedness for Ivanka’s visit.
