The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), meanwhile issued a thunderstorm warning for the next two days.

As per the warning, thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds are expected to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Medak, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparty, Nagarkurnool and Rangareddy districts.

The IMD also said that light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at isolated places for the remaining of the week.

Areas such as Secunderabad, Ameerpet, Musheerabad, Patancheruvu and Bahadurpura recorded the temperature rising to 40.3 degrees Celsius while the other areas in the city continued to hover between 35 and 40 degree Celsius.

According to the DC report, Telangana is feeling the heat across all the parts of the state as Adilabad and Badrachalam recorded 41 degree Celsius while Ramagundam and Mahbubnagar witnessed the temperature rise to 40 degrees. Medak and Nizamabad recorded 39 degrees, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Hanmakonda recorded 38 degrees.
