Pawan Kalyan backs tribals on bauxite mining

Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan said that the state and its people do not want progress at the expense of the livelihoods.

He said while mining was important, it should never displace the people and put them to hardships. Pawan interacted with the tribals at Araku and discussed the issues facing them.

Strongly decrying the attempts aimed at threatening and browbeating of the tribals, Pawan Kalyan said he would stand by the tribals at all times. He said bauxite mining should be taken up only with the consent of the tribals in the region.
