Eluru: AP women’s commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari has expressed concern over rising obscenity and objectification of women in films and TV shows. Talking to mediapersons at Eluru, she said most TV serials were showing women as villainss. He also demanded that obscene scenes be removed from the TV serials.

She said the people should own up social responsibility and help the police in maintaining law and order. She said the people should have greater awareness about the legal provisions.

She said the special status was needed for Andhra Pradesh and lauded Galla Jay’s speech in Parliament. She said the commission will make efforts to impart skills to women to enable them to work in the Gulf countries.
