Kadapa: Senior congress leader and former minority welfare minister Ahmadullah Mohammad Syed is going to quit the congress very soon. Following call received from TDP high command Ahmadullah along with his son met the chief minister N.Chandra babu at Amaravathi on Monday and expressed his desire in joining with TDP.

According to the sources the minority leader likely to join with TDP in the presence of Chandra Babu naidu during his visit schedule to be held by December on the occasion of laying foundation stone for Steel plant in Kadapa district.

Ahmadullah was elected from Kadapa city constituency for two time in 2004, and 2009 elections on his TDP rival Kandula Siva nanda Reddy with the majority of 20,000 votes, 7,350 votes respectively. He worked as minority welfare minister during the regime of N.Kirankumar Reddy and Rosaiah.

However he did not contested in 2014 elections due to various reasons, but continued in the congress party. Sources disclosed that he got assurance from the chief minister providing MLA seat in the ensuing elections. It may be recalled that TDP is not having proper candidate from Muslim Minority community in Kadapa constituency where the 60 percent of Muslim Minority voters to be a deciding factor of the candidates in the elections. This was the reason inducting non Muslim candidate from Kadapa city constituency as Kandula Siva nanda Reddy defeated for two times in 2004, 2009 elections.
