The city police arrested DSP Durga Prasad in Tirupati on Thursday who went absconding after being caught red-handed with a married woman. He was then shifted to Hyderabad.
The DSP was arrested on the charges of cheating and robbery based on the complaint registered against him by the woman's husband Reddy Prasad in Nizampet. It is learned that the DSP cheated the couple on the promise of offering a job in TDP and then forced them to shift their home from Hyderabad to Tirupati where he got transferred.
Trusting him, the couple moved to Tirupati and a few months later Reddy Prasad again moved to Hyderabad and started working in a pharma company. He would visit his wife in Tirupati for every ten days. Taking the advantage of the situation, the DSP developed an extra-marital relation with Reddy's wife and also grabbed her land by forging the documents.
