Passengers availing Metro services express dissatisfaction over ticket counters closing before time

Hyderabad: Though the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL) services extend beyond 11pm, the sales counters for tickets down their shutters at 11pm, making transit impossible for several commuters who do not possess smart cards.

Passengers expressed dissatisfaction over ticket counters shutting down before time. Commuters at the Miyapur station have recently complained that they were not allowed to purchase the ticket even though they had reached the station a few minutes before the actual closing time. HMRL Claims passengers comfort and proposes world class transit, the experience during the closing time proved otherwise. There was no way that we would have missed the train if the tickets were sold to us more than five minutes before the train left the station.
