The need of the hour is to prepare and develop dedicated, dynamic, leaders of wholesome and balanced personality, academically equipped and spiritually aware, who embody noble values, and above all, possesses a right and positive attitude with unblemished character. The human race is passing through an unprecedented turmoil exposing itself to hazards in many ways. We see collapse of giant corporates which is confusing us, as they are no longer able to avert, control or mitigate which is subjecting the share holders and employees to big casualties.
The root of the problem lies in myopic and self-centered behavior of those holding important positions. The debacles of many corporates can be understood this way with a very few exceptions. That is the reason why even the legal procedures and checks are unable to set right the undesirable outcomes.
Morality and good conduct are of primary importance, and when people have them, anything can be achieved in society. True values will empower anybody to solve gigantic tasks, for it earns the support of the majority of people. Their conscience itself will force them to support such people. The harmony of thought, word and action is the true value. Vedas declare “Manasekam, Vachanekam, karmanyekam mahatmanaam.” These sterling qualities earned Gandhi ji the title “Mahatma”.
We can cite an example of a cook. When he serves an affluent person at home faithfully in course of time the master may handover him the house keys and go out leaving all responsibilities on him. Hence it is necessary for Employees to win the confidence of their superiors in all earnestness. That will surely make them entrust you with higher responsibilities. Values are not only necessary at work place, but in all walks of life.Wife may not trust her husband when she finds out he is not true to his words and vice-versa. In fact the infrastructure of the whole universe is based on these. The mechanism is so well set by the God that only virtuous men will escape from the mis-happenings of life.
If one really wants to achieve excellence in life one should keep in mind the aphorism “DUTY IS GOD” and cultivate two things - Trust in oneself and Trust in God. In such cases neither good nor bad will affect him. These have to be practiced at every point of life. Truth is the real guardian. A man without truth will stink like a dead body. The mansion of one’s life has to be built on the foundation of truth. One can imagine the plight of a building without a proper foundation. Many spiritual organizations in India and across the globe are striving to evolve these values from people, there by contributing to the disaster management of the human race. The transformation of the world for the better is impossible without the individual transformation. Everyone has to strive to achieve this refinement, then only can we hope to see a peaceful world.
