College is that module of life, which for eternity remains redolent of exhilarating memories, no matter even if it’s the last you are inhaling. For many (may be most) the college-life rings a bell and infuses a whaffy aroma about the good old days or the first time when you were trusted upon by your parents to venture into the jungle (read the callous malicious world) all by yourself – the first when you were trusted upon by them to map you expenses, the first when you received large amount of currency notes in your ATM, courtesy them, the first you made the choice about who will be your friend and who wouldn’t. Hostel life in itself is a know-how that necessitates entire column to be devoted to it.

As it’s not a narrative and chronicle about my college life, but Deepanshu Saini and Vinita Gupta’s masterpiece “Girls Hostel –Unspoken Memories” that needs primary mention here.

A theme, a lively thesis, which Deepanshu assumes is close to every boy’s heart. He says “in the days when I was part of college hostel life, it struck my mind why shouldn’t I write on the very topic and that’s how the novel saw the day’s light.”

Nothing can be more intriguing and enthralling in life of a college going boy than the charms and secrets revolving around girls. Nothing better for such “girl-info-starved” Romeos, practically everyone among our tribe is or had been once at least, to land upon a script that transports you inside the life within a hostel for girls, and satisfies every reservation, especially what do girls do inside their rooms, in their hostel?

A story about happy-go-lucky, fun loving and a spirited girls - Shreya, Shruti, Ridhi, Kriti and Meghna, who all enjoyed their stay at the girls hostel. Nevertheless, to make their stay more treasured, they hit upon a impish plan.

What followed next was a secret party spirited with booze, mischievous inclines, and wild deportment, smartly brushed inside a cloak of confidentiality.

A whole new plethora of fresh discoveries followed which also paved way for new bonds to be developed – as the title says “Unspoken Memories” published by Omji Publishing House Pvt. Ltd.

But, what was the underlying that led to the series of interesting developments? What made that happen, all abruptly and swiftly?
