Mahabubnagar: Joint Action Committee chairman Prof Kodandaram and MLA Eetela Rajendar and other TRS and JAC leaders presented themselves before the Alamapur court on Thursday.
It may be recalled that the JAC leaders were arrested on March 21 and sent to judicial custody till April 4 when they observed Sadak Bandh on Benguluru high way. However, they were released on bail on March 23. Since the judicial custody was till April 4, they presented themselves before the magistrate on Thursday.
However, the magistrate directed them to be present in the court after the police filed the charge sheet.A Later, addressing newsmen, Kodandaram said that the government was filing criminal cases against the activists who were agitating peacefully. "They could not stop the agitation with arrests and jails," he said.
The steering committee would meet on Friday to take decision on the next sadak bandh. The agitation would continue till Telangana was achieved, he added.
