Assam govt suspends Director of Pension

Guwahati: The Assam government an order issued on December 22, has placed Nemai Ch. Das, AFS, Director of Pension, Assam under suspension with immediate effect.The Sstate government has called for disciplinary action against Nemai Ch. Das on the basis of the records available in the Pension & Public Grievances Department and the detailed report therein, and declared that being a Government servant Das has violated the rules in the Assam Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965.
As per the order, Das made some derogatory remarks in print media against Assam Chief Minister on December 5 last.
The Headquarter of Nemai Ch. Das, AFS, Director of Pension, Assam will be at Dispur.
He is also directed not to leave Headquarter without prior permission.
