AIADMK MPs skip Lok Sabha as Jayalalithaa suffered cardiac arrest
All 37 Lok Sabha MPs belonging to AIADMK today skipped the proceedings of the House, a day after their party supremo J Jayalalithaa suffered a cardiac arrest in Chennai.
The benches of the AIADMK members were completely deserted, as they were apparently in Chennai after receiving the news about Jayalalithaa's health condition.
Lok Sabha deputy speaker M Thambidurai too was absent from the House.
AIADMK MPs, when they are in the House, sport traditional Tamil dress - white shirt and 'vesthi' and carry a picture of Jayalalithaa distinctly putting in their shirt pockets.

Karnataka suspends bus services to Tamil Nadu after incidents of stone pelting
In the wake of tense situation in Tamil Nadu over CM Jayalalithaa's critical health, Karnataka State Road Transport has stopped all 470 bus services between the two states from Monday morning. Officials in the corporation said they will wait and watch the law and order situation on the border and for a green signal from the police to send their buses to Tamil Nadu.
