Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao is likely to swear-in AIADMK legislature party leader Edappadi K Palaniswami as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister today, according to the sources from Raj Bhavan.
Palaniswami met Tamil Nadu governor on Wednesday along with nine others and urged him for an invitation to form the government.
E Palanisamy, who was nominated by AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala Natarajan maybe asked to prove majority on the floor of the house in a week which would further rule out the possibility of a composite floor test.
Reports suggest that the governor accepted the claim of Palaniswami after the submission of the list of 124 legislators.
