I have read almost 100 books and among them are a few books that have changed me in some or the other way. From books that made me believe in spirituality to books that me be damn good spy! I have experienced them all. But then I came across the book that changed almost everything I put my beliefs in. ‘Tuesdays with Morrie ’, a tale told by a student about his dying professor and the last lesson he thought him, a lesson that he thought should be learnt by every living person, the reason for which he wrote the book.

Life’s greatest lessons told by a dying soul, a soul that believed in the simplest joys of life, a simple meal with friends rather than a luxurious dinner in Paris! Who believed that there is no force created that love can’t win over. Who had no interest in the materialistic things that the world has to offer him. Who worshipped a saying ‘love each other or perish’

The humor that he saw even in the devil of a disease ALS made me feel ashamed of myself for taking every little pain as a life and death situation.

In the brief moment between completing the last word of the book and re-starting it, I made a decision, to live my life the way I did when I was a kid, always smiling, no unnecessary fears, no desires to be rich, and all that mattered was to be happy and be around the people I love.
