flagNizamabad: MLA Yendela Lakshminarayana appealed to the farmers to utilise various schemes implemented by the Government. The MLA, along with the District Collector Christina Z Chongthu, flagged off the "Rythu Chaitanya Yatras" at the Collectorate on Monday. The yatras will continue in all the villages of the district till May 8 to create awareness among the farmers about the modern agricultural practices. The MLA suggested to the farmers to follow crop rotation method and to use organic fertilizers for improving soil fertility. He said that the State Government would pay compensation to the farmers who lost their crops in unseasonal rains. The Collector released the Yatra poster on this occasion. She asked the farmers to participate in the "Rythu Chaitanaya Yatras" for resolving their problems. The Collector said that officials from Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Revenue and other departments would participate in the programme. She said that an action plan would be prepared to make available the necessary seeds, fertilizers and farm machinery on subsidy to the farmers. She assured that bank loans would be provided to all the eligible farmers. Division-wise yatras would be conducted in Nizamabad, Bodhan and Kamareddy. Additional Joint Collector Sriram Reddy, JDA Narasimha and other officials participated in the programme.
