Union HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju is largely unfazed that the Budget Session of parliament was a washout, as a large number of education Bills are pending in parliament. 
His simple reaction was that there are two more sessions � Monsoon and Winter � failing which, the government can still try to pass after next polls! Pallam Raju is off on a visit to the United States, on a follow-up of the US President Barack Obama-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh initiative on higher education. The focus of the visit would be on strengthening and enhancing higher education initiatives � 8 projects have been identified under this initiative. Strategic dialogue on higher education would take place. The visit will also cover school education and skill development sector, as well. Skill development is in keeping with Rahul Gandhi focussing on it. During his visit, Pallam Raju has been invited by Temple University, Philadelphia, to receive the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, Honaris Causa, at the 126th commencement exercises commencing on May 16. The commencement exercises will be held at the Liacouras Center on Temple's Main Campus.
