Hotshots gear up for extravaganza

Hyderabad: The Indian Badminton League (IBL) is set to take-off on Wednesday and one of the major contenders, Hyderabad Hotshots, has come into competitive mode. Icon player, Saina Nehwal and the rest of the squad had a rigorous work-out at the venue to be match-fit for Thursday’s opener against Lucknow.

The entire team took to the DDA Squash and Badminton Stadium in the national capital with almost all of them getting into competitive mood. According to Prasad V Potluri, Chairman of PVP Group, which owns Hyderabad Hotshots, "We re eagerly looking forward to the commencement of the premier event, which I am sure will revolutionize the sport in the country and perhaps change the global equations. With Saina and Taufik Hidayat in our ranks, we are confident that we will put in a worthwhile show."
He said that they had a very balanced outfit and the blend of youthful exuberance and proven talent would make them a hot shot for eventual honours.
