Hyderabad: The spectacular 2014 ended in a blazing glory for Dharmender Singh of Army Yachting Node (AYN), whose incredible mastery over the waters fetched him the coveted ‘Late Lt Cdr Kelly S Rao Trophy’, the crème de la crème of Hyderabad Sailing Week, which concluded on a glittering note at the Hussain Sagar Lake here on Saturday
The five-day event, jointly organized by EME Sailing Association (EMESA) and Secunderabad Club, saw - Sharif Khan, also AYN, getting decorated with the SSC Laser Radial Rolling Trophy for overall winner without discard in Laser Radial Rig. Competitions saw close action from around 135 sailors vying for honours, including 21 women.
The awards were given away by former President of LCAI, Lt Gen (Retd) N B Singh, VSM, AVSM, PVSM.
