ONGC Fetes Asiad Medallists. Eighteen Incheon Asian Games medal winners, including members of gold-winning Indian hockey, squash and women relay teams, were on Saturday felicitated by their employer Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) in New Delhi for bringing laurels to the country in the multi-sporting event.
Rajahmundry: Eighteen Incheon Asian Games medal winners, including members of gold-winning Indian hockey, squash and women relay teams, were on Saturday felicitated by their employer Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) in New Delhi for bringing laurels to the country in the multi-sporting event.
According to a release here, among those who were gifted cash awards included M R Poovamma and Mandeep Kaur (both women 4x400m relay), Kush Kumar (men squash) and hockey player Gurwinder Singh Chandi.

Each was given cash reward that was proportionate to the colour of the medals won. ONGC athletes bagged 13 medals (4 gold, one silver and eight bronze) out of 57 India had won in Incheon.
World billiards and snooker champion Pankaj Advani and other cue champions form the Corporation were felicitated and given cash awards on the occasion.
