Jayaprakash Reddy and Deepak Gullapalli emerged as the Men ‘A’ (for handicaps up to 12) and ‘B’ (handicaps 13 to 28) category winners in the Hyderabad leg of the invitation only BMW Golf Cup International-2017 championship for amateurs at the sprawling Hyderabad Golf Association course here on Sunday.

Hyderabad: Jayaprakash Reddy and Deepak Gullapalli emerged as the Men ‘A’ (for handicaps up to 12) and ‘B’ (handicaps 13 to 28) category winners in the Hyderabad leg of the invitation only BMW Golf Cup International-2017 championship for amateurs at the sprawling Hyderabad Golf Association course here on Sunday.

Category winners from each of the 12 Indian cities will compete at the National Final. The national winners will head for the BMW Golf Cup International-2017 World Final. The Ladies Category is open for handicaps up to 28. According to Frank Schloeder, President (act), BMW Group India, “BMW customers and golf patrons eagerly look forward to this platform as it is a symbol of progressive development of sports in the country.”

Results-Men A: Winner: Deepak Gullapalli; Runner-up: Jayant Tagore; ​Second runner-up: Manohar Reddy Badam; Men B: Winner: Jayaprakash Reddy, Runner-up: Nitin Bhatia, Second runner-up: Dhiraj Kumar Jaiswal; Longest drive (Men): Agastya Reddy; Longest drive (Women): Vilasini Reddy; Closest to the Pin (Combined): Narahari Verma; Straight drive (Overall): Bharat Valluripalama.
