MEO visits hostels, to submit report to Collector
Mandal Education Officer (MEO) A Shiva Kumar, on Friday, made a surprise visit to two government hostels housing Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes and found several irregularities.
Tandur: Mandal Education Officer (MEO) A Shiva Kumar, on Friday, made a surprise visit to two government hostels housing Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes and found several irregularities.
The visit by the MEO came following a report in The Hans India on the poor conditions prevailing in the hostel. Shiva Kumar spoke to the girl students in the hostel to find out the problems being faced by them. The students expressed their anguish over the poor conditions in the hostels and also poor quality food being given to them.
Food was not being supplied as per the menu. During the MEO’s visit, only 30 out of total 160 students were present in the hostel.
Shiava Kumar told The Hans India that he would submit a report to the District Collector on the condition prevailing in the hostels.
