KCR to expose Naidu’s misdeeds, Because of Naidu’s ‘conspiracy’, the Telagnana state was facing acute power shortage and irrigation water crisis after the state was bifurcated.

  • To address meeting at Vijayawada
  • ‘Naidu a big liar, cheating TS, AP farmers’

Hyderabad: Continuing his tirade, Telangana Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday warned his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu that he would expose the ‘misdeeds’ committed by Naidu against both Telangana and Andhra people by conducting a public meeting in Vijayawada.

Because of Naidu’s ‘conspiracy’, the Telagnana state was facing acute power shortage and irrigation water crisis after the state was bifurcated. “The AP people are also in deep trouble as the TDP government has failed to fulfil even a single promise in the last five months. Not a single rupee has been waived from the loans taken by the farmers, leaving the peasant community in great distress,” he said.

The Naidu government had also failed to provide a temporary relief to the farmers from availing fresh loans. Belt shops were also not closed and instead encouraged liquor sales for more revenues, he said. “I am ready to fight on behalf of Andhra people and also the farmers who were cheated by Naidu with his empty promises.

KCR made these comments at the foundation-laying ceremony for the drinking water project taken up at the cost of Rs 350 crore at Malkajigiri area by the GHMC in the city. Branding the AP CM as a ‘liar and a big cheat,’ KCR said the standing crops withered away because the state was denied power allocated from the plants in AP. The cancellation of the PPAs between Telangana Discoms and AP-based power plants by the Naidu’s government was against the spirit of AP Reorganisation Act, he added.
