The recorded rainfall in various regions is as follows:

• Asifnagar recorded the highest rainfall of 71.25 mm.

• Shaikpet with 71 mm, Malkajgiri with 33.75 mm .

• Srinagar Colony with 30.5 mm.

• The average rainfall recorded in the city was 53.4 mm till 8.30 pm.

• Areas like Trimulgherry, Chilkalguda, Jubilee Hills and Marredpally recorded between 24-30mm of rainfall.

“There is a low pressure area in the Southwest Bay of Bengal which is heading towards Tamil Nadu. Under its influence, many districts in south coastal AP, Rayalaseema and Telangana got rains,” said IMD scientist K. Seetharam.
