Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday directed the officials to immediately set up Telangana Rural Development Corporation (TSRDC) for the development of roads in all the rural areas of the State.

Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday directed the officials to immediately set up Telangana Rural Development Corporation (TSRDC) for the development of roads in all the rural areas of the State.

He announced that the state government would spend Rs 5000 crore for the construction, renovation and repairs of roads which fall under Panchayat Raj Department. The CM held a high level review meeting on the status of Panchayat Raj Department roads in his chambers.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah, Panchayat Raj minister K Taraka Rama Rao, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Education Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy, Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and other officials of the state government attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the State government had decided to spend Rs. 200 crore to develop rural roads spread across 20,000 km of the State.
