Karimnagar: Even before the discontent over the denial of Ministerial berth to Koppula Eshwar settled down, the TRS leaders in Karimnagar district are facing a host of hostile factors. Appointments to nominated posts are set to trigger serious trouble for the leaders from those missing the bus.

Eda Shankar Reddy, the president of district unit of the party, is hopeful of corporation chairman, while Putta Madhu, MLA from Manthani, is trying hard to get two of his supporters considered for nominated posts. Either of the leaders may be disappointed as KCR cannot adjust nominated posts for both. Gangula Kamalakar, MLA from Karimnagar, expected the Whip post; however, KCR did not consider him. Kamalakar is known to be close to Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao.

Party sources believe the grand reception arranged by Kamakar during the ministers’ visit to Karimnagar could have queered the pitch for him, as it could be unpalatable to other main leaders. Meanwhile, differences among TRS legislators over granite business in the district continue to rock the party. Kamalakar and Putta Madhu are at one end, while Rasamai Balkishan and B Sobha are reportedly part of another group. Party sources also reveal that the differences between legislators have even drawn the attention of the Chief Minister.
