Hyderabad: Agitating lawyers demonstrated in front of the Ranga Reddy District Court and demanded the setting up of a separate High Court for Telangana State on Friday. They created a commotion by hurling eggs after some judges tried to make their way into the court premises.

A group of lawyers who were protesting by squatting on the road before the court premises, closed the gates and prevented the clients, lawyers and even judges from entering the premises. The agitating lawyers shouted slogans and demanded creation of a new High Court for Telangana State.

When the judges tried to persuade the agitating lawyers to allow them to enter the court premises, the lawyers refused and shouted slogans. At one stage some stones were hurled at those trying to enter the court premises. Some eggs were even hurled at the judge’s vehicles. As the situation became tense and was going out of control, the local police summoned additional forces and the agitating lawyers were arrested and whisked away to pave way for the smooth functioning of the court.
