The Telangana Government on Monday issued administrative sanction for the upgradation of 10 hospitals at a cost of Rs 63.29 crore. As per the orders issued on Monday, new hospital buildings will be constructed in place of old buildings under the control of Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad for CHC Gudur (Warangal), CHC Utnoor (Adilabad), AH Nagarjunasagar (Nalgonda), CHC Yellareddy (Nizamabad) and CHC Sadashivpet (Medak).

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government on Monday issued administrative sanction for the upgradation of 10 hospitals at a cost of Rs 63.29 crore. As per the orders issued on Monday, new hospital buildings will be constructed in place of old buildings under the control of Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad for CHC Gudur (Warangal), CHC Utnoor (Adilabad), AH Nagarjunasagar (Nalgonda), CHC Yellareddy (Nizamabad) and CHC Sadashivpet (Medak). The total cost of construction with equipment and solar system will be Rs 40.80 crore.

Similarly, five Primary Health Centres will be upgraded from 6-bedded to 30-bedded hospitals at a cost of Rs 22.50 crore. These PHCs are located in Narsapur G (Adilabad), Thirmalayapalem (Khammam), Veepangandla (Mahabubnagar), Zaffargadh (Warangal) and Mirzapur (Medak). Of Rs 63.29 crore, an amount of Rs 53.80 crore will be provided by the NABARD while the State Government's contribution will be Rs 9.49 crore.
