Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has sanctioned Rs 1 lakh for the treatment of Mohammed Ibrahim, son of a cab driver Ahmed Shareef, who is suffering from Spondylitis HLAB.

The cab driver, Ahmed Shareef, had approached the Telangana State Cabs and Bus Operators Association (TSCBOA) seeking financial assistance for the treatment of his son Ibrahim, 27, who had to undergo second surgery for the replacement of a hip-bone which was costing him around Rs 2.65 lakh.

TSCBOA President Syed Nizamuddin took up the matter with Association's Honorary President and TRS MP from Medak LS seat Kotha Prabhakar Reddy. Prabhakar Reddy immediately approached the Chief Minister who directed the officials to issue orders sanctioning Rs 1 lakh under the Chief Minster's Relief Fund.

Subsequently, on April 21, Special Secretary to CM P Rajasekhar Reddy issued a letter to the Yashoda Hospital informing them the Chief Minister had sanctioned Rs 1 lakh and that treatment to the individual should be provided.
