Speaking at a meeting organised by OCTL Workers Union at Clock Ttower Centre in Nalgonda town, Ravinder of CITU said that 450 employees of OCTL were on strike for the past 200 days protesting against the dictatorial policies of the OCTL management. The TRS leaders made strong speeches during the Telangana agitation that rights of the workers would be safeguarded after formation of new state.
But, now TRS government has turned a blind eye to the plight of 450-workers’ he lamented. Pandu Ranga Rao of INTUC said that the TRS government should initiate action against the OCTL management for working against the interests of its employees. K Parvathalu of Dalita Bahujana Sangam said that the Labour Minister should break the stalemate between OCTL management and employees to safeguard workers livelihood.
Indra Sagar of IFTU gave a call to employees of OCTL to get ready for intensified agitation as the state government and the company management were ignoring their plight.
