Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal on Thursday stated that the cash- for-vote is a criminal case related to corruption. Speaking to media persons here, Bhanwarlal said that the case is being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Bureau and matter is presently in court.


He said a report has been sent to the Election Commission of India (ECI) based on the evidences collected by the ACB. He said that the EC would take action after the court completes its hearing. Meanwhile, the EC has filed a petition in the Special Court for ACB cases seeking copies of audio and video tapes and hard disks, which were examined by the Forensic Science Laboratory.
