Hyderabad: The ongoing talks between the Chief Secretary and Telangana Super Speciality Hospitals Association (TESHA) on Employees Health Scheme (EHS) were postponed to July 28. Telangana State Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Health minister C Lakshma Reddy, Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Principal Secretary of Health Suresh Chanda, Aarogyasri CEO Dr M Chandrasekhar Rao, Director of Health Dr Ramani and TESHA employees took part in discussions at the Secretariat, on Friday.


Health Minister C Lakshma Reddy said the government gave the surgical tariff package to TESHA and asked them to discuss it with the Aarogyasri officials. The Principal Secretary of Health Suresh Chanda discussed it with Aarogyasri officials and it was estimated that it would put additional burden of Rs 500 crore for the outpatient, medical and diagnostic packages if the proposal of TESHA was accepted.


The TESHA came forward and proposed to provide the NIMS millennium package for medical treatment and leave the issue of pharmacy discount to the government.
