Hyderabad: In the larger interest of students, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education is studying all options to hold third phase of engineering counselling. According to the officials of TSCHE, as many as 3,430 candidates did not get seats as they failed to give enough number of options. As a total of 26,695 engineering seats remained vacant, the TSCHE is contemplating holding third phase of counselling.

Accordingly, the officials of the Council on Monday met Telangana Advocate General K Ramakrishna Reddy to discuss the possibility of holding counselling as there was Supreme Court ruling on the engineering counselling. As per the apex court ruling, the engineering counselling should be completed by July 31 and classes should commence from August 1.

If the third counselling cannot be held, the only option left for the candidates is spot admissions in which case they would not get fee reimbursement from the government.
