Karnataka cops stop TRS leaders from visiting project

A tense situation prevailed at Shakti Nagar in Karnataka for sometime on Tuesday when the police stopped Telangana minister Jupalli Krishna Rao and Mahbubnagar MP Jitender Reddy from visiting an irrigation project being constructed on Krishna river at Girijapur.

The TRS leaders along with three other officials led a delegation to Raichur to inspect the project over sharing of Krishna water

The Karnataka police stopped the TRS leaders stating that they have to obtain permission from the Karnataka Government.

With the police stopping them from proceeding further, they spoke to the Karnataka officials. After obtaining permission, the police allowed them to inspect the project.
