Hyderabad: The CPI Central Secretariat has strongly condemned the gross interference by RSS into the matters governance by holding closed-door consultation meetings with the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers.

In a statement on Saturday, Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, General Secretary of CPI, said the three-day appraisal meeting, which ended on August 4, had violated the spirit of the Constitution which stipulated that the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers, who took oath of secrecy in accordance with the Constitution, would not disclose their plans and policies to outsiders.

The RSS, which all these years claimed to be a cultural organisation, was blatantly violating all that understanding and had grown into an extra-constitutional authority.

"The Party has been cautioning the people of covert interference by the RSS. With the present RSS-BJP conclave, the interference has become open and overt. This is not good for the democratic set up of our nation," Sudhakar Reddy said, while demanding the ruling NDA coalition and its leaders to desist from such an extra-constitutional authority.
