Justice PV Sanjay Kumar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Monday suspended an order issued by a police officer of Cyber Crime Police Station seeking to interrogate an octogenarian lady. The police were seemingly acting upon a complaint made by the Finance Officer of GMR. According to the 80-year-old woman,

V L Jayaprada Devi, the police issued an order to her to be present before the police officer in connection with the investigation into the complaint. She pointed out that an earlier PIL filed by a third party was disposed of and she had filed the present PIL complaining of a large-scale scam involving 6,000 acres of SEZ land in Kakinada.

However, the Cyberabad Police Hyderabad were taking sides and were arm-twisting her contrary to the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
