Warangal: Sana, one of the accused in ex-MP S Rajaiah’s daughter-in-law Sarika and her three minor children’s death on November 4, was produced before the district court here on Friday.

Prior to producing her in the court, Sana was taken to MGM Hospital for medical examination. Later, she was produced before the Fourth Additional Munsif Magistrate A R Vilasitha. She was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.

Speaking to the media, Hanamkonda, Assistant Commissioner of Police P Shoban Kumar said Sana was lodged in the Warangal Central Jail and she was accompanied by her younger son who was on breast feeding. Her elder son was handed over to her parents. He said Sana was accused of having an extramarital affair with Sarika’s husband Anil Kumar. She was also accused harassing Sarika. She was listed as the A-4 in the case.

She was picked up by the police on November 8 in Khammam town after four days of hunt following the death of Sarika and her kids.

It might be noted that Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi and Anil Kumar were already arrested and are lodged in Warangal Central Prison.
