Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who visited the Hyderabad Central University on Thursday demanded the immediate suspension of Vice Chancellor P Appa Rao and also asked Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani to apologize for her remarks over the Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula\'s suicide.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who visited the Hyderabad Central University on Thursday demanded the immediate suspension of Vice Chancellor P Appa Rao and also asked Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani to apologize for her remarks over the Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide.

Addressing a gathering of students at the University campus, Arvind Kejriwal said that the Smriti Irani was playing dirty caste politics for which she must apologize and added that he was ready to seek the Vice Chancellor's removal by staging a sit-in at his office but has been advised against it by the student community.

Kejriwal further said that it is a shame on the entire society when bright students like Rohith have to commit suicide.
