Minister unveils Dr Jayshankar’s statue

The bronze statue of Dr K Jayshankar, Telangana ideologue and the former Vice-Chancellor of the Kakatiya Univeristy was unveiled by Forests Minister Jogu Ramanna at the Attenders Colony in the town on Sunday. He also renamed the attenders colony as Jayshankar’s colony.
Adilabad: The bronze statue of Dr K Jayshankar, Telangana ideologue and the former Vice-Chancellor of the Kakatiya Univeristy was unveiled by Forests Minister Jogu Ramanna at the Attenders Colony in the town on Sunday. He also renamed the attenders colony as Jayshankar’s colony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Forests Minister lauded the contribution made by Dr Jayshankar in spearheading the Telangana movement which ultimately resulted in the formation of the Telangana State. He urged the youth to take up Dr Jayshankar as a role model who strived hard for the cause of Telangana.
