Speaking on the occasion, she asked the people to make a call to 1098 and inform the ChildLine staff if they found children in trouble. So far, a total 969 phone calls were received by ChildLine staff and all the children were rescued, she said and informed to set up hoardings at bus and railway stations and in towns to educate the people about child labour system.

Stating that a special training would be given to teachers, the Collector asked RTC conductors and railway station managers to alert ChildLine staff if they found children under suspicious circumstances.

‘Open bank accounts for NREGS workers’
District Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad asked the officials to open bank accounts for the workers working under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme so that their wages would be credited directly into their bank accounts through online banking system. The Collector conducted a review meeting with bank officials, MPDOs and DWMA officials at the Collectorate here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, she asked the bankers to open Zero balance accounts for NREGS labours. She directed MPDOs to submit filled-in applications in their respected service area bank by collecting Aadhaar number, photo and other particulars of job seekers. The entire process should be completed by March 31. The Collector asked MPDOs to collect Aadhaar numbers and other details of labourers at the earliest.
