Following the Indian mega cities that provide Wi-Fi access to their citizens, Hyderabad too will be providing 45 minutes of free Wi-Fi to everyone in the city and the Telangana Government will be giving access in the next 15 days.

Following the Indian mega cities that provide Wi-Fi access to their citizens, Hyderabad too will be providing 45 minutes of free Wi-Fi to everyone in the city and the Telangana Government will be giving access in the next 15 days.

Some of the places that will be able to utilise this facility include crowded places, GHMC main office, zonal offices, government offices, Hyderabad Ranga Reddy collateral, Jubilee Bus Stand, Mahatma Gandhi bus station, High Court, KBR and Indira Park. Over 1,800-2,500 users will be allowed to access the service at a time while the browsing speed would vary from 2 Mbps to 10 Mbps. The public Wi-Fi service is being launched by the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) who is collaborating with US-based QuadGen Wireless Solutions Inc to provide Wi-Fi network across the city.
