Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF) on Friday demanded the State government to strengthen the government schools and introduce  English medium education in such schools. The TSUTF is conducting a bus yatra in support of its demands in the Telangana district and this yatra reached the town on Friday.

SFI Students, TSUTF Teachers and left parties’ activists gave a rousing welcome to the Bus Yatra. at Varni circle and participated in the rally till Raja Rajndra Circle. On the occasion TSUTF State President A. Narsi Reddy lamented that the number of students were decreasing at government schools while they were on the rise in the private schools, in Telangana.

The downtrodden sections of the society were badly hit by scuh trends, he added. Narsi Reddy demanded the State government to introduce a two- tier system in education, appoint one headmaster for each school and allot a classroom and a teacher for each class. TSUTF State general secretary Chava Ravi, district president Suresh, general secretary Satyanand, district committee members Someshwarlu, and others were present.
