SCCL CMD visits thermal plant
The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) N Sridhar on Monday went round the Singareni Thermal Power Plant under construction at Jaipur in Adilabad district and asked officials to step up the pace of execution of works in all the three shifts to enable two units of the plant (2 x600 MW) to produce 1200 MW by May.
Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) N Sridhar on Monday went round the Singareni Thermal Power Plant under construction at Jaipur in Adilabad district and asked officials to step up the pace of execution of works in all the three shifts to enable two units of the plant (2 x600 MW) to produce 1200 MW by May.
The CMD spent about three hours inspecting the works in both the plants and told the officials to appoint additional supervisors and workers if necessary and stick to the deadline. The first plant has been synchronised successfully and the second plant will be synchronised by May so as to produce 1200 MW, he said making it clear that he will not tolerate tardiness at any cost.
He inspected chimney, ash handling plant, pump house and pipe line works. He also visited conveyor belt transporting coal and inspected the fly-ash plant. Later, he reviewed the progress with the Singareni directors, thermal power plant officials and various executing agencies involved in construction work and reiterated to them that the plant should be ready at any cost by May this year underlining the need to make available 1200 MW to the state to enable it to meet the power demand.
The executing agencies’ officials assured the CMD that they will work hard full scale to meet the deadline. SCCL directors B Ramesh Kumar, A Manohara Rao, J Pavithran Kumar, P Ramesh, A Manohara Rao, J Pavithran Kumar, P Ramesh Babu, Executive Director Sanjaya Soor, General Manager (Coordination) J Nagayya, General Manager (Civil) Murali Krishna, General Manager (E and M) Sudhakar Reddy and others accompanied the CMD.
