Nalgonda: District CPI secretary Adi Reddy demanded the government to help the farmers in all aspects to save them from the prevailing drought conditions in the district. He, along with party district leaders Nellikanti Satyam, Shravan Kumar, Kanthaiah and student leader B Venkatesh interacted with the media at the party office in Nalgonda on Friday.

Speaking to the media, Adi Reddy said, on behalf of district farmers, the party decided to mount pressure on the government to give the drought tag to the whole district and to get more assistance from the government to the farmers.

In this connection, party state team consisting of Palla Venkat Reddy, MLA Ramavath Ravi Kumar and Nageshwar Rao will tour on April 18 in Aler, Bhongir, Motkur, Ramannapeta, Chityala Narketpally, Munugodu and Nalgonda mandals to know the ground reality and to prepare a report to submit the government.

The CPI leader also informed that on April 21, the party cadre will organise dharnas at all mandal headquarters and picketing at the Collectorate would be organised on April 25, against the government’s anti-farmer activities.
